If it’s your first time visiting our family dental clinic, our team may recommend a dental X-ray or a digital 3D scan of your teeth. This will help us identify cavities or tooth decay and perform a complete visual examination of any potentially impacted teeth.
Thereafter, our professional team of dentists will use an ultrasonic scaler to remove plaque and calculus buildup from the teeth efficiently. This is usually concentrated right at the gum line (you may experience some sensitivity during the procedure). Once completed, the dentist will polish the teeth to remove any remaining stains, leaving them feeling clean and smooth.
Our fluoride treatment involves applying a thin layer of concentrated fluoride gel directly to the upper and lower teeth. We then advise patients to keep the gel on their teeth for 30 minutes to enhance absorption, then rinse before eating or drinking. This allows the fluoride to soak into the teeth over several minutes for maximum effectiveness. We recommend refraining from eating or drinking for at least 30 minutes after the treatment.
