What Are OneSmile Clear Aligners?
OneSmile clear aligners are transparent trays made to fit over your teeth. Each tray is shaped to apply controlled pressure to selected teeth as part of a personalised treatment plan. Provider information describes the trays as using advanced PET-G and PU materials.
The clear aligners are removable. You take them out for food, drinks other than plain water, brushing and flossing. You must wear them consistently for the prescribed number of hours. Treatment may slow or stop if you don’t wear the trays as directed.
OneSmile is a clear aligner brand. The OneSmile solution combines the prescribed aligners, treatment plan and any Dental Monitoring features included in your package.

How Does OneSmile Treatment Work?
The OneSmile Solution treatment process begins with an assessment. The three-dimensional simulation helps with planning. It cannot guarantee the final tooth position or treatment time because biological response varies.
Some plans require interproximal reduction to create a small amount of space. Others may include a tooth extraction as part of orthodontic treatment. Your dentist should explain why they recommend any additional procedure.
Assessment. Your dentist examines your mouth, bite and jaws. Photographs, X-rays and a digital scan or impressions may be needed.
Treatment planning. A digital setup shows the proposed sequence of tooth movements. Your dentist reviews the plan, expected duration, limitations and material risks.
Aligner fitting. You receive your first aligners and instructions for wearing, cleaning, and storing them. Your dentist may add tooth-coloured attachments or elastics if needed.
Home wear. You wear each aligner for the prescribed period before moving to the next one. Do not change trays early unless your dentist tells you to.
Monitoring. When Dental Monitoring is included in your OneSmile plan, the app may prompt you to submit smartphone scans, often weekly. The dental team reviews treatment progress and advises whether to continue, pause or arrange a review.
Reviews and refinements. You still attend in-person appointments as directed. You may need a new scan and additional aligners if your teeth do not move exactly as planned.
Retention. Active aligner wear ends when the planned movement is complete. Retainers help limit relapse.
How Remote Dental Monitoring is Used
Dental Monitoring may form part of the OneSmile Solution. It uses a smartphone app and Dental Monitoring hardware to capture views of your teeth. The software compares submitted images with the treatment plan and can flag possible changes for the dental team to review. When provided, the Dental Monitoring Scan Box supports image capture.
This is not continuous 24-hour observation. The system can assess only submitted images, and automated notifications may not identify every problem. Your TEETH dentist remains responsible for clinical decisions.
Remote monitoring may reduce some routine clinic visits, but it does not replace examinations, X-rays, procedures or urgent dental care. Attend every in-person appointment your dentist recommends.

OneSmile aligners are clear and removable. Unlike traditional braces, OneSmile aligners do not use metal brackets. You can remove them for meals, brushing and flossing, so there are no bracket-related food restrictions. Remote scans may also provide information between planned visits when Dental Monitoring is part of the treatment.
The aligners depend on consistent wear. They can be lost, damaged or left out for too long. Attachments and elastics may be visible. Some movements are less predictable than others, and you may need additional aligners or a different appliance.
